Foothills Auction Q&A

What is the auction?
It’s Foothills Annual Fundraiser and community celebration. But most importantly, it's a party that the whole community can enjoy together.

What's new this year?
Lots! First, we will be back in person after two years of virtual events. As we get closer to the event, we will be sharing our Covid protocols.

Second, we have new sponsorship benefits. In addition to great recognition opportunities, you will have the chance to reserve your own table!

Third, this year we will also be publicly launching our Capital Campaign to complete the purchase of our building! With the support of many visionary donors, we are so pleased to share that we have already reached 80% of our Phase I goal. Over the next six months with the help of our amazing community, we hope to cross the finish line!

What is the theme and attire for the evening?
Our theme this year is the future. Foothills parents have a long history of dressing up in some pretty fabulous costumes based on the year's theme. Although costumes are by no means required if you would like to dress up, start planning your best futuristic get-up! We will be sharing costume inspiration as the event gets closer.

Can I bring a friend?
Yes! You are welcome to invite guests. In addition to current parents, many grandparents, alumni, and friends of community members attend.

How will I find a babysitter?
We will be offering evening care for children in grades K-6! One of the kids' favorite substitutes, Ali Beltramo, along with Sam Heidelberg who many of your children know and love from aftercare, will be providing a night out at Foothills School with pizza, a movie, and games! Due to childcare licensing requirements, we unfortunately cannot offer evening care to Early Learners. Space will be limited. The cost will be $25 for one child and $40 for two children. If you are interested, please let us know HERE, so we can get a sense of the number of families who would like to join.

Is food or drink included with the purchase of my ticket?
The price of your ticket includes a delicious "future" themed buffet provided by our very own parent alumni, Anna Tapia, executive chef with Thomas Cuisine.

You can purchase drink tickets to consume alcoholic beverages at the event.

Will there be dessert?
There will be a silent auction for dessert items. Be sure to check out the dessert table when you arrive to bid on a special sweet treat at the end of your meal. There will only be a certain amount provided so we anticipate some competition!

If you love to bake and you're interested in donating a dessert item to our silent auction please contact our event coordinator Kelly Anne Barker at barkerkellyanne@gmail.com or by filling out our contact form below.

Where is the event being held? Where do I park?
Cost if $3/hour and $15 max.

Enter parking from Myrtle between 11th and 9th.  Come up to the 3rd or 4th floor. I have attached a map to direct folks to the elevator from the parking.

We will have signs at the elevators to guide them to the 6th floor.

Thanks for sending the logo for your event.

Will the auction be online too?
Yes! And no... the Silent auction will be both in-person and online for those who can't attend. But the live auction will only be in-person. Baker Auction Company will make sure we have plenty of fun while bidding on some very special Live Auction items. If there's a live auction item you're interested in but can't attend in person, contact our event coordinator Kelly Barker to learn about absentee bidding.

How can I support the auction today?
Become a sponsor or donate something to the auction! Would your business like to support our community? Do you have an awesome idea for an auction item? Are you a great baker? Please contact our event coordinator, Kelly Barker, to learn more about the many opportunities to support the school through the auction.

What does the auction support?
The Annual Auction raises important funds for Foothills. Funds raised at the Auction are put toward operating support including financial aid, technology or equipment improvements, and professional development.
